Welcome to our framework for Continuing Professional, personal and practice development
I am delighted to welcome you to our Framework for Continuing Professional, Personal and Practice Development (otherwise known as CP3d).
Our mission is to provide a brilliant student experience for those wishing to develop professionally and personally within the fields of psychology, health and social care. Our students range from those wanting to follow a very specific career path to those whose aspirations are more flexible and evolving. We cater primarily for people already qualified / experienced in the health and social care field and for psychology graduates.
We are committed to the ‘widening participation agenda’ – meaning that we welcome those without traditional university entry qualifications and we have a solid reputation for strong, practical student support. We understand the complicated and responsible lives of mature students and provide educational opportunities that fit their needs. Many members of the staff team have juggled with working, studying, parenting, caring etc, so we really do understand the challenges our students face and have lots of experience in helping them both survive and thrive within higher education. Many of us too had humble academic beginnings (very humble in my case!).We love to see those who start off lacking confidence in their abilities grow and develop.
Our course fees are highly competitive and students’ financial support varies from those supported through their NHS employer and the Higher Education Funding Council for England, to those who pay some or all of their own fees. The cost of programmes and stand alone units depend on the number and level of academic credits involved.
I hope you can find what you are looking for here and we will be very pleased to hear from you. The contact details of staff can be found with specific programme (a whole course) and unit (a single module) information.
